"Cockadoodledoo"  Happy Year of the Rooster!

Happy 2005, in Chinese Astrology, the year of the Rooster! We hope you all had a great holiday season. Here at Electronic Storefronts we are all excited about the new improvements and projects that are planned for this year; and we are already off to a great start! We have been undergoing several server upgrades and have added new hardware and software company wide; this has resulted in more horsepower on our servers, adding value to all the products and services we offer.

We wanted to start this newsletter by thanking you all for your enthusiastic responses to our first newsletter! We hope these newsletters will be a great way to improve our  responsiveness to your needs, and reward our valued customers.

Getting Your Company and
Your Website Ready for 2005

As we move into the new year it is important to take some time to review the status of your website to ensure that everything is current. We'd love to help you with this. Please call us at: 303-831-7060, and ask for your account executive. Here are a few things to look for:

  • Look at numbers and dates on your site; Does it say you have been in business seven years, and you now have been in business eight? Do you mention events or goals that have come and gone?

  • Check all the outgoing links (links that take the viewer off your site). Make sure that they work, and take your web visitor to a page that is still relevant to your customers.

  • Look for outdated information and pictures. Has your logo or branding changed? Do you list e-mail addresses of people who are no-longer with the company? Are there old pictures that can be replaced with newer ones?

  • Take a step back and look at your site as if you were seeing it for the first time. Does the design look dated? Do you need new pages for new information? Is there well written copy on every page?

  • Do you have a database that needs to be upgraded or simply cleaned out? Is there functionality that will save you time and money that you don't have?

Answering these questions will help you establish how ready your site is for 2005. If you are unclear about any of these recommendations, or would like someone from our company to help you evaluate your site, e-mail us at  newsletter@
electricstores.com. We'd be happy to walk through your website over the phone or even schedule a time to come by your office. Happy 2005!

1. Personalize "Signature" in your e-mail program to help potential customers get in touch with you. Limit it to 6 to 8 lines: Company name, address, phone number, URL, e-mail address, and a one-phrase description of your unique business offering. Look for examples on e-mail messages sent to you. 2. E-mail Marketing is SMART! One of the best things you can do is begin collecting e-mail addresses for your potential clients and existing clients. Targeted e-mail marketing is wave of the future, and  you should be collecting e-mail addresses for your current e-mail marketing campaigns, or in anticipation of future marketing efforts. E-Mail Database:
An E-mail database is a dynamic tool that we can add to your website to help you add, manage and sort e-mail addresses. This tool allows you to maintain tailored communication with your customers and prospects with ease. The Email Database eliminates the need to manually input contact information gathered via your contact form. When a user submits the form, the contact information is automatically added to your database. You can also add email addresses from other sources to the
