- Start collecting email addresses now!
- Remember that quality is more important then
quantity.
- Send a one time message to everyone you know
inviting them to be on your list. Ask them to reply to
let you know if they are interested.
- Make it easy to sign up on your website. Ask the
question ‘Would you like to receive email updates?’
- Never assume you have permission just because you
have someone’s email address. If you want to add
someone to your list, send them an introductory
message asking them if they would like to receive a
newsletter, tell them how they’ll benefit and then
wait for their response.
- Always give people the option to unsubscribe.
